Description

NEA Engineering Company Limited (NEC) and Chandrapur - Sukdev Chowk 132 kV D/C TL Project entered into the contract on 2nd October 2019 to study in detai the feasibility of 132 kV transmission line connecting the existing Chandrapur Substation and the proposed Sukdev Chowk Substation, including the detail design of 132/33 kV substation at Sukdev Chowk. 

Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), Transmission Directorate, Chandrapur - Sukdev Chowk 132 kV D/C TL project is the owner of this project. This project is envisaged as a reinforcement to the power supply system in the middle and southern parts of the Rautahat District i.e., Gaur, Sukdev Chowk, Garuda, Matsari, Madhopur and Maulapur Areas. This shall be beneficial for both the household sector and industries in that region where electricity consumption is rapidly increasing.

The Approximate length of the transmission line is 31 km from existing Chandrapur Substation to the proposed Sukdev Chowk Substation. The scope under the proposed Transmission line comprises of following main components.

  1. Detail design of 132 kV D/C Transmission Line.
  2. Detail design of 132/33 kV distribution substation.
  3. Preparation of BoQ, detailed cost estimate and financial analysis of the project.
  4. Preparation of construction planning / schedule of Transmission Line and Substation.

Desk Study report on transmission line routing including preliminary electrical calculations has been prepared and submitted for approval from the project as well as to acquire survey License from Department of electricity Development (DoED). The transmission Line alignment is being prepared using GIS based routing technology.

This project is expected to be completed in 6 months.
